Nature and Coaching

Sundays are typically a mix of resting in the Lord and reaching out to our local community. Some weeks it is mostly time with our family in Christ. Others it is fully in our community. This past Sunday was some of each.

We began with a time to reflect on what God is doing and some prayer at a large park close to our home. Fall is awesome here, and it was a beautiful day. So nice to walk, talk and pray. Here’s a great shot of Wendi and Mary, one of our teammates. I love the old tea house across the lake.

Later, in the afternoon, our Japanese ministry partner, Keishi, held a coaching seminar that focused on people and businesses discovering their strengths. The coaching uses a Biblical foundation, and the main verse was John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I remain in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” Keishi then led the participants through an exercise of writing out significant events in their lives to help discover their uniqueness. It was a great time of building people up in ways relevant to their everyday lives.

Here’s the group with their timelines. Keishi is in the back on the left.

Very cool day with family and friends, living the love of Christ here in Sanda.
