On Christmas day, along with mission colleagues here in the Osaka area, we went caroling at a nearby retirement home. We have done this the past few years and it is fun to see some familiar faces. We really like the opportunity it provides for our children to see beyond Christmas presents and into the true heart of Christmas. All the kids in the mission did a great job of acting out the Christmas story and singing carols. After singing, everyone went out into the crowd, wishing the residents a merry Christmas. We could tell how glad the residents were to have all these kids come around shaking hands and wishing them well.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year! See you in 2011!
